Description
A pair of Alien 285 sticks.
Alien 285 is a large to medium sized Underwater hockey stick suitable mostly for backs, but also for forwards who like a big hook for back-tackling and a huge pass. Playing area is angled slightly forward in relation to the handle. Front edge bevel is 8° – less than most sticks and may take some time to adjust your technique, but once you get used to it very long (3m+) passes are easily achieved. The stick tappers from 21-14 mm which puts the center of mass just in front of the thumb. Heavy textured surface provides great feel for the puck and superior handling. Handle itself is 110 mm long, ovally shaped and slightly raised. There is a recess for index finger and an indentation for the thumb on the back which provides a very firm grip. Why Alien? Because it alienates the puck from your opponnents and sends it right into the orbit! All the sticks are now fibre reinforced to prevent breaking – if they do break you are covered with our one year warranty! Right and left handed version available.
Our soft Underwater hockey sticks are built around a tough fibre-composite core which provides stiffness and impact resistance. The core itself is relatively thin compared to the stick. The majority of the stick consists of cast rubber-like material which provides elasticity, and impact absorption. The sticks are virtually unbreakable with a ridiculous amount of grip on the puck.
